Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), referred to as "HKBU", is located in Hong Kong, China. It was founded in 1956. In 1983, the then Baptist College received full government funding and became a public post-secondary institution. By 1994 Obtained its name and became Hong Kong Baptist University. It is one of the eight comprehensive public research universities fully funded by the Hong Kong SAR government. It is a member of the Beijing-Hong Kong University Alliance and has been included in the list of national key universities by the Ministry of Education.
