UK university tuition fees?
UK university tuition fees for local students are 9,250 pounds (this is twice the tuition fees of Hong Kong JUPAS University). As for whether the BNO UK university tuition fees are equal to the British citizen university tuition fees? This depends on whether you have lived in the UK for more than 3 years before your child goes to university. If you have lived in the UK for more than 3 years, you can get the British citizen university tuition fees through BNO 5+1. If you live in the UK for 5 years through BNO 5+1 and choose to go to the University of Scotland, the University of Scotland is free. Otherwise, the tuition fee of the University of Scotland is 4 years, and the tuition fee of the University of Scotland is not cheaper than that of the University of England, so the total cost of the degree is 9.6-1.4 million Hong Kong dollars, which is about 30% more expensive than the degree of England.
The tuition fee of international students in British universities is cheaper for liberal arts than for science and engineering, ranging from 14,000 pounds to more than 20,000, or even 40,000-60,000 pounds per year for a medical school degree. Of course, the cost of studying in the UK includes living expenses such as housing, which is about 7,000-10,000 pounds per year (depending on the region). The tuition fees of British universities range from HK$210,000 to HK$350,000 per year, and the total cost of a degree is HK$630,000 to HK$1,050,000.
If you and your family did not choose BNO 5+1, but want to study and immigrate to the UK, UK Immigration Route allows British university and British master's graduates to work on a 2-year visa. Before the work visa expires, students need to work in the UK with a Skilled Worker Visa for 5 years through a suitable employer, salary and job type, and then they can get a BC (British passport).
