I know you will immediately wonder "City University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University are QS ranked in the top 100, why spend nearly a million HKD to get a Canadian university degree?"
Canadian university rankings can refer to Macleans, whose ranking method just makes up for the blind spot of the QS World University Rankings, which uses the university's reputation among employers and other universities as a ranking indicator. Macleans focuses on student achievement, student satisfaction, the quality of teaching by professors, and the support students receive, and compared with QS rankings, Macleans’ university ranking indicators are more important for students who intend to pursue undergraduate studies.
A. students (28%)
National-level academic awards (i.e., Rhodes scholarships and Fulbright awards, professional associations and scholarships from three federally funded organizations) that students have received in the past five years, and then each university The total number of award-winning students divided by the number of full-time students. (10%)
Opportunities for student-professor exchange: Proportion of full-time and full-time students (8%). The teacher-to-student ratio includes graduate and undergraduate students.
Student Satisfaction (10%): Includes ratings of course instructors (professors and instructors), instructors providing student support services, administrators, and academic advisors. Experiences regarding extracurricular activities and residence hall life will also be assessed, as well as three very important factors: experiences with experiential learning, mental health services and university policies to prevent sexual assault on campus.
B. College (24%)

Maclean’s divides the number of award-winning faculty at each university by the number of full-time faculty at that university.

is very similar to other ranking institutions, this part is the same as evaluating different people's views on the university...
Before assessing Canadian university rankings, Maclean’s classifies Canadian universities into three categories: research universities, comprehensive universities, and liberal arts universities
Primarily Undergraduate universitiesmainly provide undergraduate education
Comprehensive universitieshave a variety of graduate and undergraduate programs, but no medical school
Medical Doctoral universitieshave a variety of graduate and undergraduate programs, and universities in this category have medical schools.
Classification by university size first and then ranking makes the results fairer, otherwise, small universities if ranked by research funding, they must be lower than Medical Doctoral universities. We consider the student experience to be the top priority of university life and the reason you pay expensive tuition fees to study overseas. Therefore, we believe that Macleans’ Canadian university rankings are more referential than the QS rankings.
