Australian University Application Period

Most universities in Australia start in July or February every year. The universities follow a "first come, first served" policy, so students are advised to plan as early as possible and prepare one to two years in advance. The following takes admission in July as an example to introduce the application time for Australian undergraduate programs and the application time for Australian master's programs.


1. Australian undergraduate application time (July admission)
September to October of the year before admission (preparation period):
School selection and preparation to study abroad Application materials and preparation for IELTS.


November - March of the year of admission (application period):
Submit application materials for studying in Australia, contact the Australian university admissions office, and collect the first semester tuition fees. During this period, students who do not have enough IELTS can take the time to retake the IELTS exam. Students who have obtained satisfactory IELTS scores can start submitting applications when the application materials are complete, and then wait for the university application results.


April to June of the year of admission (visa period):
Obtain the confirmation letter COE from the Australian university, prepare visa materials, apply for a visa, purchase air tickets, and prepare luggage.


July of the year of admission (start studying abroad):
Go to Australia to study.


2. Australian master’s degree application time (July admission)
Before September of the year before admission (preparation period):
Choose a suitable Australian university , prepare university application materials, review and prepare for IELTS exam.


September of the year before admission - January of the year of admission (application period):
Obtain qualified IELTS scores, submit applications to Australian universities, and track application status.


February to May of the year of admission (visa period):
Obtain COE for admission to Australian universities, organize study visa information, make appointments and apply for visas, and purchase tickets to study in Australia. Tickets and luggage are prepared at the same time.


July of the year of admission (start studying abroad):
Go to Australia to study.
